Financial Models in Art
Together with Konsthall C, artists Simon Goldin and Jakob Sennebys present an artistic production, Nordenskiöldsmodellen (Nordenskiöld Model) on November 10 at Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education.
“The financial models have had an enormous impact on how our society has developed over the past forty years. Look, for example, at how the cash-flow model has influenced the stock market. Art is able to tell us something more about how the models construct our world,” says Per Hägglund, CEO for Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education.
During the evening, you are invited to experience a historical adventure, in which Swedish colonial history; the establishment of a financial governmental apparatus and utopian mysticism are united. It will lead us into the contemporary development of mathematical models.
The duo of artists, Goldin+Senneby presents a performance in which the model as the producer of knowledge fields and the upholder of concepts, is joined with utopia, magic and theater. Scene 1 and 3 take place at Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education, while scene 2 takes the shape of a guided bus tour to the center of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
