EDGE - Mastering Change and Complexity

EDGE is the program for those of you who lead work on strategic change or other complex challenge. Whilst you are stimulated by the challenge, you feel that the traditional methods are insufficient. The EDGE program will help you to identify successful new approaches.

For whom?

The program is intended for managers and key staff who lead complex challenges. You will bring with you a concrete change project or a challenge to work with during the program.

Examples of participants include functional and business area managers, client account managers, experienced specialists or senior project leaders.

Description

At the center of the program is the challenge you bring with you to the program. Initially, the purpose is to investigate and delimit the challenge to make it concrete and later to be able to master it.

The program comprises three modules:
• the Create Context module focuses on the wider world and the prerequisites for being competitive. The module also contains a review of your personal relationship with the challenge
• the Leadership in Networks module deals with key success factors in mastering change and complexity where there is a high degree of unpredictability
• the Master the Challenge module applies the knowledge to actual challenges

The program provides you with input and new perspectives from researchers and experts. You will be supported in developing your own leadership in tutored development groups.
The borderline between work in your organization and on the program is erased. Certain parts are carried out individually in your organization and other parts during a residential stay.

You need to be able to discuss the challenge openly in small groups during the program. Naturally everything that is spoken of and discussed stays within the group.

"Great value in gaining a new network which sees things with new eyes/questions old problems and conduct. The program provides support for one’s own solutions or, alternatively, raises the problem to a new level so that one finds a new way of solving the problem."

Benefit

The aim is to strengthen your leadership in dealing with complex challenges and to give you the tools to deal with them.

The EDGE program will help you push through your strategic change assignment or solve your challenge and will provide you with tools, which you will take with you to use when during your next change project.
In other words, you will both get the job done and develop simultaneously in order to master future challenges.

During the program you will have access to the faculty’s expert know-how, perspectives and tools whilst benefiting from the group’s experience and ideas. The cross-fertilization from both other participants and the faculty is strengthened by the process-oriented and action-oriented design of the program.

The EDGE program will provide you with access to Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education’s alumni network, Networker. This is a high-level managerial network through which you and your organization can continue to develop.

SSE IFL excels at integrated General Management programs. Specialized in Leadership, Developing Business, Finance and Economics. All programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of top executives and upper middle management across a range of industry areas.
