ERFA® Professional Networking
A senior position often needs a network outside his or her own organization with which to share experiences and test new ideas. We provides you with an invaluable opportunity to do just that in a forum which is specifically tailored to suit people in senior positions.
For whom?
ERFA® is intended for people in senior positions. The participants are often alone in their positions and therefore need someone externally with whom to discuss their experiences.
The ERFA®-groups are put together to maximize the benefit to you as a participant.
Description
An ERFA®-group consists of about ten people who meet three times a year. During a period of 24 hours, the group will deal with a challenge which one of the group members has raised. You will discuss, analyse and identify solutions together.
Openness within the group
Discussions within the group are very open and all information is treated in the strictest of confidence.
The group is led by two people with a close connection to the academy to further broaden perspectives.
Each group has a contact person at Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education who manages the communication between members of an ERFA-group.
Participants complement each other
We strive to put together a group with a broad base in which the knowledge and experience of participants complement each other. This enhances opportunities for learning, development and new thinking.
The meetings take place in a secluded venue and run from lunch to lunch on the following day to suit people in senior positions.
Three phase process
Each meeting starts with an overview of the business to be dealt with. In the afternoon and evening, the group works with the challenge which has been highlighted.
During the next day, the participants work though concrete proposals as to how she or he can proceed with the matter at hand.
Benefit
Being part of an ERFA®-group means that you become part of a new network which you can also utilize between group meetings. Openness within the group means that the participants get to know one another well and provide an important sounding board for each other over time. The exchange of experience with people from other organizations enhances your leadership skills.
An ERFA®- group will provide you with a valuable external forum in which you can test new ideas and get proposals for solutions to the challenges. . ERFA® also gives you access to Stockholm School of Economics IFL Executive Education’s alumni network, Networker. It is a high-level managerial network through which you and your organization can continue to develop. You will get access to current research and the opportunity to exchange experience with other managers and companies.
